Frequently Asked Questions

Is it too late to start training my dog?

While there are developmental windows during puppyhood and adolescence that make building the foundations of a good canine citizen easier, it is never too late to start building a bond with your dog through a variety of training activites from obedience to agility. An old dog most certainly can learn new tricks!

Which methods does Royal Dog Training employ?

At Royal Dog Training, we follow the LIMA mindset of Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive. It is our heartfelt belief that the only training that works for a dog is the curriculum curated to that unique animal, so no two sessions will look exactly the same. We work with dog and client to find the best, most effective method to adding harmony to your home.

How do I know which service is right for me?

The simple answer is to reach out to us so that we can assess how best we can help you and your pet. These consultations are completely free, so no need to fret!

When is the best time to book a training session?

As soon as possible! Whether you have just brought home a new puppy, taken in an adult dog, or just need extra help with your long-time companion, there is no better time than the present to set you and your dog up for success! Call or text during our regular business hours or send us an email anytime to get started.

How far in advance should I book my dog's Board-and-Train?

Our board-and-train services book fast and have limited availability. To ensure that your pet's training is covered, we recommend booking a month in advance for the month of your choice. Securing a program requires a $200 nonrefundable deposit that contributes to the cost of the program.
