These include Socialization, Training, Activity, and Responsibility. This course is applicable to ALL puppies 12 months and under. Upon class completion you will receive a S.T.A.R. Puppy ribbon as well as paperwork to send into the AKC to get your puppy’s award certificate!
Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
The Canine Good Citizen test is the first obedience skills test in the CGC series. This test allows you to prove what a good citizen your canine companion is! Behaviors covered in the test include sit, down, stay, recall, loose leash walking, and accepting friendly stranger exercises.
Testing fees are $25 but may be bundled with the other two CGC tests only if scheduled on the same day for $60!
community canine (cgcA)
Once your pup has proven their stuff at the basics, it’s time to turn it up a notch! Your dog isn’t just a good citizen, they’re part of their community. Much of the same skills from the CGC are applied to the CGCA test however more distractions are present, requirements are stricter, and the “leave it” cue is introduced.
Testing fees are $25 but may be bundled with the other two CGC tests only if scheduled on the same day for $60!
Urban canine (cgcu)
If your dog has mastered the skills required to walk the busy urban streets, this test is for you! The CGCU aims to exemplify that your dog has reached the highest expectations of a well-mannered pet. You will navigate busy walkways, by pass food with barely a sniff, and be open to all the sights, sounds and distractions of the world!
Testing fees are $25 but may be bundled with the other two CGC tests only if scheduled on the same day for $60!
